Join us for a scenic train trip through the Blackstone River Valley to Putnam, Connecticut!

Tour departs Woonsocket, RI at 9 am for a day filled with fun Fall activities.
Relax and enjoy the many antique and gift shops, Putnam’s Annual Pumpkin Festival, a farmers’ market and local restaurants. ​After 3 1/2 hours of exploring the quaint town of Putnam, we’ll depart CT at 2:30 for a 4:30​ pm​ arrival back in Woonsocket.

The train leaves the Blackstone Valley Train Depot, One Depot Square, Woonsocket, RI at 9am and travels through two National Historic Parks on the 2 hr train ride to Putnam, CT. 

On this day Putnam will be celebrating their annual Pumpkin Festival and will be host to a Fall Bazaar at the Congregational church. The bazaar features, crafts, raffles, a white elephant table, snacks, homemade items, sale table and prizes. Tour the historic church and see the beautiful Tiffany stained-glass windows!

Other highlights of the day include: side-walk dining, arts and crafts, a Farmer's Market, music, a great selection of antique shops and consignment shops to visit, and many reasonably-priced restaurants to choose from.  Arts and crafts, pumpkin decorating, face painting, kids games and art projects, harvest fair, live music, pumpkin carving, pie eating contest, paint your own pumpkin bank, demos, petting zoo, clown, balloon artist, and more!

The return train will depart Putnam at approximately 2:30pm and will arrive back in Woonsocket at 4:30pm.
