Vermont Sheep & Wool Festival

Animal Barn
Sheep – Goats – Alpacas – Llamas – Rabbits. In addition to live fiber-producing animals, the Animal Barn at the Vermont Sheep & Wool Festival includes vendors offering all your favorite fibers and yarn along with equipment and supplies.

Marketplace: The Festival Marketplace features over 70 vendors offering fleece and yarn, handspinning and fibercrafting equipment and supplies, handcrafted wool items, small ruminant equipment and supplies, fencing materials and local meat and cheese.

Shepherd Workshops: The Festival’s Shepherd Workshops are designed to educate owners – and future owners – of small ruminants. These talks are free and no registration is necessary.

Fiber Arts Classes: Class options include a variety of full and half day sessions featuring fiber arts such as spinning, dyeing, knitting, crocheting, needle felting and weaving. Register for a class and receive a free pass to the Festival!

Fiber Arts Contests: Many thanks to the folks from Green Mountain Spinnery for organizing the Fiber Arts Contests for the Vermont Sheep & Wool Festival.

Fleece Show & Sale: The Festival’s annual Fleece Show and Sale offers high quality fleeces for handspinners, felters and other crafters. Come early for best selection!

Vendor Demos: A number of our Marketplace Vendors have volunteered to showcase their talents, crafting abilities and/or fiber products for these brief free demos. In addition to the scheduled demos, many vendors will be demonstrating in their booths.

Cashmere Goat Exhibit and Show: We are pleased to feature the Cashmere Goat Association and their annual show at the Vermont Sheep & Wool Festival. The cashmere exhibit is located in the Riverside Barns on the far end of the Festival grounds.

Don’t forget to visit Floral Hall! Stop by the ever popular Drop In & Spin and try your hand on one of the spinning wheels under the tutelage of our volunteer spinners.
