Welcome to the Frosty Drew Observatory Summer Stargazing Nights - Rhythm and Roots! This weekend (weather permitting) we will open our Observatory, Sky Theatre, and telescopes to the skies and offer free stargazing and astronomy to anybody interested in observing with us along side the fabulous Rhythm and Roots music festival in Ninigret Park.

Tonight we will open around 7:30 p.m. with views of the beautiful night sky over Ninigret Park showcasing dazzling planets, bright stars, speckled star clusters, mesmerizing nebulae, and vast galaxies. We stay open late, sometimes until dawn, and close when the skies become unobservable or everybody leaves. Be sure to subscribe to subscribe to the Frost Drew Observatory mailing list, follow us on Twitter (@FrostyDrewOBSY) or on Facebook to receive status updates about our public stargazing program.
If you are looking for that awesome astronomy thing to do or just want a night out to experience the cosmos under the darkest skies in Rhode Island, than this is your chance.
We will be updated this event with our weekly announcement on the day of the event. The announcement will describe our plans for the night and what to expect regarding weather and astronomical sites to view. Details
