Animal liberation activists break into a testing facility and unwittingly release a highly contagious and rage-inducing virus during a rescue mission gone wrong. 28 days later, a group of survivors try to navigate a United Kingdom fraught with death and disease. The group finds comfort in what remains of the lives they knew, but as morale and supplies diminish they are forced to make tough decisions as far as where they can go, and who they can trust.
