Learn basic mushroom ID, biology and ecology, and how to hunt several easy-to-recognize gourmet species available at different times of summer and fall. After a presentation, foray into the Tower Hill woods to collect and ID wild mushrooms.
Instructor Timothy Lane is a lifelong forager of plants and fungi. He began harvesting edible mushrooms as a child hunting the cranberry bogs of Carlisle, MA. He has eaten 75 different local species, and collects several species of choice edibles in quantity during season.
