October is an exciting month at the Roger Williams Park Zoo, because it marks the return of the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular, running nightly from October 6th – November 6th. Thousands of illuminated pumpkins line the Zoo’s picturesque Wetlands Trail, with over 125 carved into intricate designs by the dedicated workers at Passion for Pumpkins – the founders and creators of the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular.

The 2016 presentation titled “American Treasures,” will celebrate our nation’s history and culture through the rich lens of commemorative postage stamps.

Since the Postal Service began in the 1850s, commemorative stamps represent key events, places and cultural icons in thousands of extraordinary works of art. Visitors to the Spectacular will experience these images beautifully transformed into intricate carvings on illuminated pumpkins in special scenery.

The trail will also feature scenes with Humanitarian Heroes, Endangered Species, Mystery Science Theater, Rock Icons, and much more. Of course, Halloween favorites will be back including the dazzling Laughing Tree with its hundreds of illuminated pumpkins and iconic laughing music.

Admission

Value Nights (Mon. – Thurs.): $15 adults; $12 children (ages 2-12).
Sold at Zoo Admissions and Online. Enter any time between 5:30 and 10pm - the trail closes at 11pm.

Prime Nights (Fri. – Sun.): $18 adults; $15 children (ages 2-12) - Sold Online Only.

Timed Entry tickets are non-refundable, and cannot be rescheduled.
Toddlers one and younger are always admitted free.

New this year: We’ve moved to timed ticket entry for Friday through Sunday nights starting at 5:30pm. Tickets for these nights will only be available for purchase online. These tickets are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled, however, they are transferrable (anyone can use them).

Contest Rules and Eligibility Requirements

ELIGIBILITY
The Contest is open to legal residents of continental Unites States where not prohibited by law, who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry who have Internet access and a valid e-mail account prior to the beginning of the Contest Period. Sponsor has the right to verify the eligibility of each entrant.

SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD
The Sweepstakes begins at Oct 12, 2016 9am EST and ends at Oct 19th, 2016, 8am EST. ("Sweepstakes Period"). All entries (submissions) must be received on or before the time stated during that submission period. Sponsor reserves the right to extend or shorten the contest at their sole discretion.

All eligible entries received during the Submission Period will gathered into a database at the end of the Submission Period. A winner will be chosen at random.
The winners will be announced on or about Oct 19th, 2016 on or about 9:00am EST. Announcement and instructions for prize will be sent to the e-mail address supplied on the potential prize winner's entry form. Each entrant is responsible for monitoring his/her e-mail account for prize notification and receipt or other communications related to this sweepstakes. If a potential prize winner cannot be reached by Administrator (or Sponsor) within two (2) days, using the contact information provided at the time of entry, or if the prize is returned as undeliverable, that potential prize winner shall forfeit the prize.
