Early November means Halloween is over — so it’s time to work off all that candy and chuck that soggy jack-o-lantern at our Great Pumpkin Chuck and Family Hike!

During this event you’ll go on an easy, guided family hike around the farm trails. If you’ve always wanted to take your family on a hike but haven’t yet, this is a perfect first experience — but seasoned hikers will also have a great time and enjoy the view.

Before or after your hike, gather at the farm’s trebuchet (catapult), to watch the farm’s staff launch your old pumpkins! Children will get a kick out of watching their old jack-o-lanterns fly through the air and smash to the ground to become compost. Whose pumpkin will fly the farthest? It’s always fun to see!

We’ll also have the campfire going, plus pumpkin bowling and a fun craft for children — and there will be hot cocoa, hot cider, s’mores kits, and popcorn for sale!

We are offering timed ticketing to adhere to COVID guidelines for the safety of our guests. Be sure to wear shoes and clothes that are appropriate for hiking, and keep in mind you’ll need to carry your pumpkin from your car to the trebuchet. We also suggest you bring a water bottle. Please note that while we love dogs, they are not allowed at the farm.
